🥓 Bacon perfection and excellet service 🥓 Popped in here for lunch on Sunday - as a family, we've been coming here for a year or two. The food here is the best version of each item. As a self-confessed bacon critic, the egg, sausage and bacon cobs are the best any of us have ever had - please never stop doing these! On Sunday, 3 of us had these (we'd been looking forward to them all week) and they didn't disappoint. My daughter had berry porridge, which she's still raving about ;-) I've worked my way through most of the menu here and everything is done perfectly. Every time. From the coffee to the American-style crispy bacon to the avo on sourdough and the upcycled decor. It's always a wholesome, refreshing treat. Also, the service is quick and fuss-free. A mention, too should go to the friendly waitress who brought our food, and some blankets as we were sat outside with our dog. She was so friendly, cheerful and professional - qualities that seem to be a little rare in hospitality - she had purple hair if that helps identify her :-)
Love this cafe. The setting is lovely, you can go for a walk around nature reserve/eco farm (complete with a few pigs/sheep/goats/geese) then have a nice breakfast or lunch. Coffee is top notch with a good selection of hot and cold drinks. Have to call out the porridge which is epic- the best porridge I’ve ever had out; it fills you up all day. Friendly efficient service. Like the fact you can order via QR code (you can also go to the till). Bacon and sausage cobs are amazing too. Choices for veggies/vegans too.
Excellent cafe located on a farm, showing the benefits of a farm diversifying its business with more income streams. Amazing cafe with lots of seating with much of it being in the lovely outdoors. The bacon and egg cob in seeded bread is amazing as is the brie, cranberry and bacon toastie! Twix and Kit Kat cake was delicious and tasted homemade - reminded me of Cobbs Country Store’s mars bar cake! Coffees were hot and creamy and tea was nice. Great service and location. Lee’s a brilliant manager and all the staff a friendly too!
Wow! What a gem! For a relaxed atmosphere and delicious food in a farm setting, it's certainly worth coming here. Sit inside or outside to enjoy a range of coffees, teas or other hot drinks. Cobs, hot food and sandwiches are mouth-watering. Maybe also enjoy a walk round the farm or come along to a community event. Payment is by card. At busy times, more toilets are needed, especially for women.
We had brunch after a walk from Bingham. It’s a lovely rustic cafe especially good for cyclists and walkers. Nice coffee.
Spot on. Cyclists dream pit stop. The Hash brown, egg bacon sausage cob was phenomenal. The bike park was so epic, not only you could watch your favourite hobby hanging in the sun. You could also look 👀 and check out all the other bikes while dipping into a coffee, cake or breakfast. Very fast service even when packed. Lovely place.
Awesome cafe with loads of parking and great access for both cyclists and walkers with plenty of routes nearby as well. Lovely coffee and the cakes are really tasty! Very chilled vibe and plenty of seating with indoor and covered options too. This is a real hidden gem and a great place for a snack!

I absolutely loved Velo Verde Café - totally my vibe. It’s set in a beautiful little village surrounded by nature, which makes the location itself worth the visit. I went on a sunny day, hoping to sit outside with a coffee, and even though all the sunny tables were taken, I still managed to find a spot outside. There was also plenty of space indoors. It’s a very busy place, especially popular with cyclists, which was nice to see -a different mix of people compared to the centre of Newark. I didn’t really look closely at the full menu, but they did have a few vegan cake options. I tried the apple and blueberry slice, and it was really tasty. They also offer plant-based milk, which is always a plus. Service was quick and relaxed. Overall, a lovely spot for a coffee stop in a beautiful setting.
Really nice atmosphere and eating area. Outside space is great and under cover, the food was fresh and served quickly. We stopped off on a long journey home, but would definitely be back if we were in area again. The community farm next door is very cute
